Amidst Shoreditch High Street’s contagious ambience of rebel cool, Squint’s unique furniture boutique injects a burst of spectacular colour into East London’s notoriously urban shopping hotspot. Squint designs premium quality, bespoke, hand crafted exuberant furniture and home accessories for creative shoppers that crave all things eccentric, statement and unusual that border on ostentation. Squint’s beautifully British design sensibility of kitsch retro influence has created a fascinating world of richly decorative chesterfield sofas, ruffled floor lamps, collage coffee tables and grand patchwork armchairs which are a fusion of fashion and the decorative arts.

Squint’s signature style mixes social and artistic heritages to create a contemporary interior design offering in a riot of colour and eclectic contrasting fabrics featuring lux jacquards, plush velvets, antique silks and woven French cottons. Explore botanical graphic wallpapers displaying peacocks, Japanese storks, pretty butterflies and exotic flowers.

Squint’s vintage style Gilded Sofa featuring Gainsborough silks and satins costs £6400 and a Squint Chartreuse Standard Floor Lamp costs £900.

WeLikeShopping Tip: Add one of Squint’s stunning ornamental, crafty chandeliers adorned in a flamboyant juxtaposition of printed fabrics and beads in a patchwork of eye-catching colour.

I came to the East End of London to look for some furniture for my new flat. I thought I'd be able to find some bargains away from central London. Well, I might be able to but I won't get anything affordable in Squint! The prices are absurd and this furniture is clearly only for the very rich.

I doubt there will ever be a day that I will be able to afford a piece of Squint furniture... but I hope there will be! It's my dream to own one of their amazing cocktail or arm chairs as I think they are so iconic in their design. For eccentric, colourful, bright and unapologetic design you can't do any better than Squint.

I don't actually shop at Squint because I am only 20 and have no need for any expensive furniture! However, i love their designs and always see them in magazines. The shop is very friendly and the staff don't mind you just having a look around even if you don't intend to buy anything. I'd love to own one of their mirrors - better start saving now!

Squint is a fab store which sells furniture and home accessories which aren't for the faint hearted. If you like your home to be full of colour and character then you should come here and buy some pieces. It's not cheap, no, but it is wonderfully designed and truly unique. I wish I lived closer so I could buy some furniture for myself.
