Complimenting Larache's exotic oasis of colorful Moroccan home and fashion accessories near leafy Arnold Circus, Soboye is a vibrant fashion and lifestyle boutique of African influence with a desirable contemporary aesthetic. Samson Soboye was one of the first designers to make residence in Shoreditch’s now super trendy Calvert Avenue and is now a destination boutique for fashion stylists, editors and style aware customers looking for products with a sense of adventure and a flurry of carnival brights.

Soboye’s iconic boutique is an aesthetic playground of inspiration for lovers of African design, think Ankara patterns and bright bold jewel tones on fringe trimmed dresses, graphic men’s shirts, woven oversized jackets and printed luxury umbrellas. Soboye’s collection of cushions are brilliant in colour and details, and are inspired by the endless beauty of plants and flowers using botanical patterns.

A Soboye beaded pom pom cushion costs about £130 and a Soboye tailored men’s shirt costs around £195.

WeLikeShopping Tip: Shop Soboye’s expertly curated selections of complimenting fashion accessories from tribal inspired Venna Jewellery, architectural Finsk footwear and Larissa Hadjio neon leather visors.

I love designer, luxury boutiques however this store has a very 'out there' style which I just don't like for myself. Everything is very bold and colourful - I suppose it suits the East London location as it's quite edgy and has a feel of street fashion to it. Unfortunately though, it's not to my taste as I prefer more minimal, sophisticated fashion.

I thought this shop looked very cool and edgy so I ventured inside in the hope to buy a unique piece of street fashion. However, make no mistake this is a high end boutique and the prices aren't the same as you might find in other street style shops. Expect to pay around £150 for most items - not out of this world expensive but still a hefty price for most people.

Sobeye is definitely for people who like to be quite adventurous with their fashion choices. While I appreciate the bold designs I don't think I can get away with wearing them myself. However, I do enjoy the accessories; the jewellery is especially nice and is much ore chic and grown up than the fashion offering. You can wear the rings with any outfit to dress it up or down, and I own a gorgeous gold cuff from here which is one of my favourite possessions, ever!

I really like the women's clothes in Soboye - they are unlike anything you'll find on the high street! The colours and patterns can look quite daunting, especially when they style clashing prints and shades together on mannequins, but they actually look better when paired with something really simple. I like to wear their sweatshirts with black jeans or one of their bright skirts with a plain white tee. It looks really cool this way and less over the top!
