Set prominently on Shoreditch High Street, Atomic Antiques is a striking antique furniture indi boutique in true retro sprit. Unlike neighbouring antique store Elemental whose edited approach is tailored to customers looking for them to ‘deliver their vision’, Atomic Antiques embraces the art of discovery and thrill of the hard won find in an authentic, rich antique shopping space full of vintage treasures that promise to seduce magpies, avid collectors and those looking to ‘find their style’.

Atomic Antiques capture the glory and pioneering design movements of the past by presenting an ever evolving selection of beautifully restored, reworked one-off antique lights, tables, chairs, sofas cabinets and other unexpected curiosities that are guaranteed to add an artistic focal point to your home. Atomic Antique’s stock consists of an eclectic mix of original items ranging from the 1920′s to the 1980′s and includes many industrial pieces as well as vintage design items from Fritz Hansen, Finmar and Danish, Italian, French, Dutch, Swedish and British design houses.

A 1950’s Antique Gold Backlit Mirror costs £390 and a Vintage Hand Tied Moroccan Rug £350.

WeLikeShopping Tip: Shop Atomic Antiques for expertly re-upholstered vintage furniture in excellent condition that is sustainable and eternally stylish.

I wanted to have a look in here but when I got in the shop I noticed that they have a dog which is kept in the store. I have a phobia of dogs so I had to leave in a hurry, feeling scared and upset. They should realise that not everyone likes dogs and wants to be confronted by one when they are shopping.

The reason that Atomic Antiques is such good antiques shop is simple - there's no old tat here. All too often, antique shops in London just seem to sell any old rubbish they can get their hands on. Not so, here. The selection of vintage goods is carefully curated, so that the shop really is filled with gorgeous pieces rather than dusty old junk.

If you are as tired of seeing the same old furniture and home accessories on the high street as I am, and you don't have the time to hunt through countless antique shops bursting with old rubbish which nobody wants, then you need to pay Atomic Antiques a visit. Everything they sell here is beautiful and has been well selected; they don't just sell any old thing here. You can feel the passion which the buyer puts into finding the products, and it really does draw you in and make you want to buy everything!

To be honest, I am not very keen on antiques shops as I prefer to buy things which are brand new. I'm not a fan of the old, used look. However, I came here with a friend and I had to give it a positive review because it is such a charming and friendly shop. The staff are happy and smiling and they have a cute dog which will come up to you for a pat on the head and to say hello. I wish more stores were like this!
