I'm not all that sporty, but I do like to wear trainers at weekends and round the house as I find that they are comfortable. I treated myself to a new pair of Asics from this store and they are great. They don't look particularly sporty and have a nice causal look to them - they go great with jeans. They aren't the cheapest trainers, but they should last a long time as they seem to be great quality.

Over the last year I have really got into running, however I suffer from sore ankles and shin splits on occasion due to bad form. It was suggested to me that it could be down to my choice of footwear when I go on runs, so I booked in to have a gait analysis here. The Asics staff were so helpful and pointed out that I tend to lean inwards when I run; they suggested some shoes to help balance me a bit and since I bought them I have had a great deal of success in my running efforts with no pain afterwards.

Asics seem to be having a bit of a moment right now, so I thought I would visit the store and see what all the fuss is about. I'm not blown away - I think that Nike have much better trainers and running gear, which is more fashionable. So, I prefer to do my shopping at Nike Town which isn't far from this Asics store.

This isn't a bad sized store, but half of the lower floor is taken up by machines for gait analysis which means there isn't as much clothing as there could be. I would have liked to see more running tights in different colours and patterns, but the range is really small and the colours aren't very varied.

A friend told me that Asics offer professional running advice and, as I have been wanting to start running for some time, I came down here and spoke to the staff about how to start. They suggested a running plan for me which helps me build up to running longer distances and times, and they also helped me choose a great kit to start off with. So far, it's going well!
