Slam City Skates sells a really excellent range of skating hardware as well as footwear and clothing. A lot of so called skate shops only sell apparel and trainers, but Slam City is the real deal! All the staff are skaters so the whole shop is very genuine and a must visit for any skater of all abilities, beginner or advanced.

I usually go to Slam City Skates near Covent Garden but when I was in Brick Lane with some friends I spotted this branch and decided to have a look around. I found everyone to be very kind and helpful; I've only just got into skating and I'm still learning, but they gave me lots of pointers including where to go for the best skate spots in London. I'll definitely go back here; apparently at the end of the day you can see all the staff skating around the area!

I came here as I am keen to get into skating and could do with some advice about what I need to buy and how to get started. Well, the staff are totally useless and lazy. They make no effort to help, answer with short and useless one word answers and frankly look like they would prefer to be elsewhere.

Perhaps the staff at Slam City are more used to teenage boys hanging out in their store, but they certainly don't treat their customers well from my experience. Considering the sales assistants are all supposed to be skaters, they didn't seem very knowledgeable about skate boarding at all.
