Homeware Antiques

Located towards the top of Brick Lane, where endearing nostalgia meets rebel cool from the urban streets of Shoreditch, Le Grenier is an inconspicuous and unassuming vintage furniture shop selling a delightful random mix of vintage curiosities and antiques with graphic resonance. Suitably neighbouring Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium of adorable felines and tasty teas, Le Grenier is an Aladdin’s cave of chintzy tea wares, old fashioned antique packaging and ‘granny’s favourite’ floral cake tins. This family run independent presents a heart warming space of spontaneous but expertly edited antique house wares and accessories sourced from flea markets and antique fairs across the country.

Le Grenier, French for ‘attic’ lives up to its name by offering a surprising collection of vintage goodies upon every visit. Discover full sets of iconic vintage brown and orange tea cups, sugar pots and tea jars interspersed with eclectic jewellery, retro furniture, exciting knick knacks, curious bric-a-brac and old record players in suitcases. Andy Warhol would have loved this shop with his legendary collection of arty cookie jars and desire for great everyday domestic design. Prices include anything from £2 for a key ring to up to £300 for a beautiful table.

WeLikeShopping Tip: Amongst the chintz, look out for unusual hidden vintage treasures such as delightfully dapper men’s neck ties in classic paisley prints.

Grenier is an incredible vintage furniture and homeware store - it is stores like this which make the east end of London so rich for antique hunting! It is rather inconspicuous and easy to walk past without paying much attention to, but when you've been once you never forget it. There are so many special little finds here which make a house into a home and will have all your friends turning green with envy.

The buyer is clearly very talented and has a great eye for gorgeous home decor antiques. If you are just getting into antique shopping then make Grenier your first port of call - you really can't go wrong in this lovely little shop.

Le Grenier is just too expensive for me and my budget. I can find cheaper, newer home ware on the high street.

Le Grenier is a loved by those in the know. If you are going antiques shopping in the east end, you should always pay them a visit! There are plenty of homeware finds to attract even the pickiest buyer and the furniture is always in good quality and feels sturdy and in good shape. You know that you will be treated well and with respect as a Grenier customer.

The sales assistants here make all the difference to this lovely antique home boutique. Far too many antiques stores in London are stuffy and up themselves, but Le Grenier isn't like that at all. You are always welcomed with a smile and hello, and the staff get to know you and your tastes if you are a regular. It's a wonderful store to waste an hour in.
