Nestled between Brick Lane’s most prestigious vintage fashion boutiques, Jimbobart’s enchanting illustrated lifestyle boutique will charm, delight and inspire a multitude of curious shoppers. Jimbobart is the brain child of London based designer James Ward featuring a world of hand drawn animals on quality ceramics and art prints with woodland creatures flaunting urban sensibilities. Jimbobart’s expressive animal illustrations starring crafty biscuit bandit foxes, ‘sandwich defender’ bears, macaroon munching racoons, super hero badgers and sleepy cheese eating sloths are sure to create an adorable, witty talking point to your home and become perfect presents for friends and family.

Jimbobart’s charismatic East London boutique is home to the designers studio where you can see James live at work on his next quirky masterpiece. Cute sketchy Jimbobart drawings appear on everything from stackable expresso cups, bear tankards, serving plates and stackable tea mugs for the perfect British tea party. Jimbobart is also a commercial illustrator and has been commissioned by leading brands such as Lacoste, Moleskine and Etsy to illustrate bath tubs and other peculiar ceramics as part of London’s celebrated Clerkenwell design week. A Jimbobart A3 El Guapo Bear Art Print costs £30 and a Jimbobart Performing Mouse Side Plate costs £25.

I thought that this looked like quite a sweet art store from the outside, featuring funny little animals in unusual situations. However, I was very much put off by the art prints which are really quite disturbing and make me feel very uneasy.

You can get some very funny, very cute ceramics from Jimbob Art. Illustrated crockery isn't something I can say I've ever had an interest in before, but this place makes it fun and covetable even for a guy like me. All the ceramics feature illustrations of woodland creatures in a human setting - a badger eating cake in Y-fronts for example! If you like your homeware to be different and cheerful, then check this place out.

I have followed the career of Jimbobart on Etsy, and always been tempted by the products but I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy them without seeing them in the flesh and seeing what the quality of the products is like. Well, when I heard that they had opened up a shop in London I obviously had to take a look!

I wasn't disappointed - all the products are lovely and very nice quality. The illustrations are just brilliant - comedy genius! I snapped up a 'biscuit bandit' plate and I love bringing it out with some biscuits on when have guests over for coffee. It always makes people smile!

A very kooky and quirky shop which is brilliant for buying gifts from. The coffee cup sets are utterly brilliant - they stack up to reveal a picture of an animal wearing clothes. All the illustrations are very humorous! It can be a little bit pricey for some of the ceramics, but the art prints are all very good value.
